- The Committee on the Advancement of Women Chemists (COACh) The programs of COACh are designed to increase the number of women chemists entering academic chemistry departments, succeeding up the ranks and achieving leadership roles. The UIUC Department of Chemistry was the first in the U.S. to offer "COACH" workshops to our female graduate students and postdocs.
