Scott Denmark Wins the 2007 Prelog Medal
Professor Scott E. Denmark of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois was recently awarded the 2007 Prelog Medal. This award is given by the Organic Chemistry Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH-Zürich). The medal was given in recognition of his pioneering work in chemical synthesis. The medal is awarded annually to an individual identified as having made fundamental contributions in stereochemistry.
