2011 marked the inaugural search for the Springborn postdoctoral fellowship. The fellowship, open to recent PhD graduates from the United States, will provide at least $45,000 in salaries plus benefits to recepient(s). Desired qualifications include a willingness to work independently and collaboratively, and strong leadership skills.
Application and Selection Information
Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Springborn Fellows are expected to have a documented academic record of excellence and demonstrated creativity and leadership potential. Candidates should have recently completed their PhD or will have it completed by the start of the fellowship.
Salary of at least $45,000 per year for two years; exact amount will be based on previous experience. Applicants are expected to exhibit independence, but to be associated with one or more research groups. Travel funds will be available; laboratory space, set-up, and operating costs will be provided by the faculty host as appropriate.
