Harold Rosenberg, age 87 of Dayton, passed away Thursday April 14, 2011. He was active in his congregation, Beth Abraham Synagogue, ZOA, Jewish War Veterans, and the American Chemical Society.

Born in Chicago, Harold received a B.S. from Roosevelt University. He served in WWII in the 44th Infantry Division. Afterwards, he received his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Illinois, and completed post-doctoral work at Purdue University. Upon moving to Dayton, he served as a research chemist in the Materials Lab at WPAFB until retiring in 1978. During his career, he lectured and presented research findings on behalf of the Air Force at meetings around the world.
