Barry Pava, a resident of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away June 6, 2013. He was born December 15,1943 to Joseph and Rose Pava. He is survived by his long-time companion Jessica Meyer; daughters Jorie (Zach) Gelnett of Leesburg Virginia; Meagan (Arthur) Lewis of Miami Florida; Grandfather of four girls Jordan, Brooklyn, Shiloh and Edyta; Brother Bruce (Elaine); nephew Matthew and many cousins.

Barry was awarded a full-ride scholarship to the University of Illinois and graduated with a degree in chemistry. He was both a gifted student and athlete. He was a member of the Illini swim team and the 1964 Rose Bowl Championship football team.

Barry spent a career as an accomplished chemist and perfumer working with some of the largest and most famous companies in the world. Barry was also an integral and respected member of his community serving with the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department and as a member of the Bartlett Park District Board of Directors. Barry also devoted his time and expertise to assisting small entrepreneurs in starting their own business. Barry liked to work out with Woit's Warriors and was a class-A handball and racquet ball player. He enjoyed solving the New York Times crossword puzzles and was passionately involved with animal rescue services as well as a food and wine epicure. Barry will be fondly remembered for his wit and humor as well as his genius IQ. He was a loving father and a dear and loyal friend.
