Two chemistry faculty members were recipients of national awards on March 24, 2026, at the American Chemical Society's Spring Meeting in Atlanta.  Chemistry Prof. M. Christina White received the 2026 Herbert C. Brown Award for Creative Research in Synthetic Methods, and Martin Gruebele, professor emeritus of chemistry, received the 2026 Peter Debye Award in Physical Chemistry.

The 2026 ACS national award winners were initially announced on Aug. 18 and recipients were honored at an award ceremony on March 24, 2026, at the ACS Meeting in Atlanta.
