ExxonMobil representatives Darnell Smith (BSECE '02) and Amber Massingill (BSChemE '02) made their annual visit to campus and the Department of Chemistry at Illinois, where they once again affirmed the Chemistry—Exxon relationship and delivered a pledge of unrestricted support, which the Department of Chemistry will use as in past years to address critical needs facing the department and our students. Smith and Massingill met with Department Head Greg Girolami and had the opportunity to interact with students through the School of Chemical Sciences’ Career and Placement Office.

ExxonMobil, one of the largest corporations on Earth and a top recruiter of UIUC students, has a long relationship with the Department of Chemistry with many of our students at both the undergraduate and graduate level going on to employment there.
