Alexander Scheeline has been Awarded Honorary Membership in the Society for Applied Spectroscopy

Alexander Scheeline, Professor of Chemistry Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and President of SpectroClick Inc. has been awarded Honorary Membership in the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS), the highest award of the Society. The award citation stated, in part, “Your prolific model for the committed university professor and your scientific endeavors on your research interests in atomic spectroscopy, instrument design, sensors, kinetics, and the dynamics of nonlinear systems were the driving forces behind your nomination.” Other Illini who have been named SAS Honorary Members include Arnold Beckman, Herb Gutowsky, M. Bonner Denton, Gary M. Hieftje, and James D. Winefordner.
