Former chemistry faculty member Edward C. Taylor, dies at 94

He was the inventor of an anti-cancer drug.

Ted Taylor was on the faculty in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois in the early 1950's. He went on to spend the rest of his career on the faculty at Princeton University.

Ned Taylor, Ted's son, remarked "My Dad was everybody's friend. He had a great life. He never gave up learning. He went to his regular German class two weeks before he passed away."

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, at the Central Presbyterian Church, 500 Cedar St., St. Paul, Minnesota.
