A group of undergraduate and graduate students joined Tepora Su'a, assistant director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Chemical Sciences, to represent the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biomolecular Engineering at UIUC during the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers 50th Annual Meeting Sept. 11-14, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Each year, the national NOBCChE Annual Conference provides opportunities for networking and mentorship between students of all levels and professionals. In addition, the conference creates a venue for scientific dialogue through technical programming, as well as personal and professional development for students and early/mid-career professionals. This year, the conference celebrated the history of the organization and the achievements of its members.

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has a NOBCChE Chapter on campus. Meet the 2023-24 executive board members.
