On Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Tryon Festival Theatre in Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, the Department of Chemistry celebrated students who graduated at the culmination of the 2025-26 academic year. The department conferred degrees to more than 180, including 60 who earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry, six received a Master of Science in Chemistry, two received a Master of Science in Teaching Chemistry, and 115 received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
Illinois chemistry alumnus Dr. Christopher J. Cramer (Ph.D., '88) addressed the graduates. He is the chief research officer for UL Research Institutes.
