St. Elmo Brady Future Faculty postdoc program
In 2014, the Department of Chemistry began a special postdoctoral research opportunity, the St. Elmo Brady Future Faculty Fellow program. Postdoctoral fellows in this program pursue independent research while also conducting research in an established lab in our Department. The appointment comes with an annual salary with full benefits, and an independent research fund.
The purpose of this program is to encourage and promote excellence and diversity (especially of women, African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans) in the pool of future faculty candidates in Chemistry at Illinois.
Financial support for the St. Elmo Brady Future Faculty Fellow program is provided in part by the College of LAS and the Office of the Provost. The application period is closed at this time.
The office serves postdoctoral scholars and their faculty mentors by enhancing the postdoctoral experience and cultivating professional development opportunities.
Postdoctoral fellowships available to individuals that are from under-represented groups or women in traditionally underrepresented STEM areas who have potential to become faculty members.
